The Munch Museum is located at Edvard Munchs Plass 1, 0194 Oslo, Norway. Reopened at its new site on October 22, 2021, the 60-meter-tall tower-shaped building was designed by Spanish architecture firm Estudio Herreros. Its facade features recycled perforated semi-transparent aluminum panels with a tilted top, creating an intriguing contrast with surrounding structures. The museum houses 13 floors and 11 gallery spaces, showcasing 26,000 works by Edvard Munch—including 1,183 paintings—with masterpieces like The Scream on permanent display.
